We went to see Mamma Mia, the musical not the movie, last night, and it was fantastic! If you're not familiar with the story, it's about a girl who doesn't know who her father is, so she reads her mother's diary and finds out that it's one of three men, and impulsively invites all three of them to the wedding, unbeknown to her mother. All kinds of hilarious antics ensue, which make for a great story. And it features songs by ABBA. We loved it so much we might have to see the movie, too!
Oh, almost forgot! Some people who came to see the show actually dressed up in these crazy '70's clothes! Yeah, that was a little different!

I hear the stage production is fantastic, but have yet to see it myself. They've performed here a few times, just haven't been able to afford it or attend when they're in town.
The movie version is pretty good. When we saw it in the theater, almost the entire audience was singing along with the cast. The only problem is, I end up with the songs in my head for weeks after I watch it.

Heather - Yes about the songs! Hubby and I will say something, then start singing them! LOL! We totally want to see the movie version, too!
