Are You an Alpha Female?

Hmmm...

You Have Many Alpha Tendencies
You're not a total alpha female, but you certainly know how to - and like to - get your way. You're forceful without being intimidating. You're confident without being vain. A perfect mix.

I'd agree with that! While I do have a submissive side - I do like to get spanked, after all! - I definitely know how to - and like to - get my own way! But in the nicest, sweetest way! My hubby says it's my secret power! *grin*

Not the Man She Thought - Read Chapter One for Free!

You can read chapter one of Not the Man She Thought over on Bethany's Woodshed for free!

Synopsis:

Beautiful Laken Andara is determined to find a way to be with the man she believes she’s in love with. The only problem is that he’s on a planet half a galaxy away. With no money and lots of spunk, she sneaks on board a cargo ship heading to the Tobagee System, which will put her within easy reach of the man she wants to marry.

But stowing away is a crime, and the captain has his own special way of dealing with spoiled brats that sneak on board his ship. He puts them over his knee and spanks them! Outraged at being manhandled by the handsome Rade Karsten, Laken has no choice but to endure the frequent spankings that take place every time she refuses to follow his orders, knowing that it will all be worth it if it reunites her with the man of her dreams.

Dreams can change, however, and as Laken gets swept up in Rade’s world of piracy, intrigue, and the machinations of the tyrannical Merchant Federation, she discovers that men can sometimes be more - and sometimes less - than what they first appear.

But could Laken ever truly feel anything for a rogue that would rather drag her across his knee for a sound spanking than put up with her headstrong ways? Perhaps, but only if Rade can keep her safe long enough for her to make up her mind.

Read Chapter One now!

Enjoy!

Obsessions

I was tagged by Kelley at Heartfelt to list my top five obsessions. Other than spanking, of course, I'd have to say these are my top five.

  1. Washing my hands. I wash my hands a lot more than the average person. And I've got this thing about antibacterial soap and Purell. Love 'em!
  2. My laptop. I'm obsessed with taking care of it. I'm super careful when I open and close it, as well as when I plug and unplug the power cord.
  3. Victoria's Secret catalogs. I always look on the VS website when I order from them, but for some reason, I like to have the current catalogs handy to page through anyway.
  4. Exercise. Pilates, jogging, Tae-Bo. I'm an exercise junkie!
  5. Routine. I like having a routine. I do the laundry, go food shopping, pay bills, even do all my ordering on specific days of the week.

Well, there you have it!

Samantha and the Detective!

As promised, here's a never before released excerpt from Samantha and the Detective, a bestseller over on Romantic Spankings!

“I should put you over my knee, Samantha, and spank you right
here.”

Hayden’s voice, soft as velvet next to her ear, sent ripples of desire running through her, and despite the fact that no on else in the student union could possibly have heard what he said, she blushed.

“Hayden!” she said, her voice breathless, her bottom tingling at the mere mention of a spanking. Turning her head slightly, she found him leaning over her chair, one hand on the back, the other on the table.

“I thought you were going to behave yourself,” he said, pulling out the chair and sitting down beside her.

She gave him what she thought was sure to be an innocent look. “What do you
mean?”

“I mean that you should be at the paper working on your story, not here investigating this case.”

“I wasn’t investigating the case,” she told him. “I’m just getting some human interest stuff on the guys that were murdered. Just background, nothing dangerous. No
snooping involved.”

Hayden’s mouth quirked. If he didn’t know her better, he’d almost believe her. Well, at least she wasn’t questioning some guy in a dark alley or meeting a homicidal bookstore owner in the middle of the night. That was something, he supposed.

“I did learn something very interesting, though,” she continued before he could say anything, and then related what Sean Radcliff had told her, adding that she thought the murderer could be this mystery woman.

Hayden frowned, but said nothing.

“What is it?” she asked.

He shook his head. “Nothing, just something the ME found.”

She waited for him to say more and when he remained silent, she prompted him. “So, what did he find?”

He hesitated. “Nothing that you can put in your story.”

She shrugged. “Off the record, then.”

He regarded her thoughtfully. He wanted to trust her, part of him even did, but the last time he’d trusted a reporter with privileged information, it had almost cost him his job. Samantha wasn’t Jessica, deep down he knew that. He also knew that the only way he would ever come to trust Samantha was to just take that leap of faith. So, he took a deep breath and told her about the biggest lead they had in the
case.

“Interesting.” She probably would have said more, but he quickly turned the conversation back to her before she could press him further.

“So, are you going back to the paper?” he asked.

She nodded. “In a bit,” she said, and then smiled at him. “Will I see you later?”

The corner of his mouth curved. “I’ll probably be working on the case pretty late, but I could come by your place after I get off.”

Samantha ran her tongue over her lips – an unconscious gesture, he was sure – and Hayden felt himself go hard. What was it about her? he wondered. They’d made love just a few hours ago and already he wanted her again.

“You can’t imagine how much I want you right now...” he said, his voice husky with desire.

She blushed, and it was all he could do not to lean forward and kiss her. Clearing his throat, he glanced around the room and saw his partner questioning a pair of students that were sitting at a nearby table. Turning back to Samantha, Hayden gave her a rueful smile.

“I should get going.”

She nodded and he stood, but then bent over her chair again. “Remember, behave yourself, Samantha,” he said softly in her ear. “Or I really will have to spank you.”

Samantha’s pulse skipped a beat, and as she watched Hayden walk across the room to stand beside his partner, she found herself wondering what she would do if Hayden had decided that she should be spanked right there and then. She felt herself flush at the image, and her color only deepened as that image became a full-fledged erotic fantasy

Conducting Research!

Though I know some writers don't really like doing research, I actually kind of enjoy doing it for my books. Sometimes, I get so interested in whatever it is I'm researching, that I have to pull myself away from it so that I can get back to what I'm supposed to be doing! Of course, when you write spanking stories, the research can sometimes even be fun! Not to mention hot!

Like I had a scene in Nosy by Nature, which is currently running over on Bethany's Woodshed, where the heroine, Daphne, gets spanked with a leather strap while she's bent over the back of a straight-backed chair. As I was writing it, I realized that I needed to get into the scene, so I asked my hubby if he would help me out. Of course, he was happy to oblige, and I found myself bent over the back of one of our kitchen chairs while he reddened my bottom with the leather spanking strop we have from the London Tanners!

While I really did try to concentrate on the subtle nuances of the spanking, like how the supple leather strap felt as it kissed my bottom and the thoughts that it provoked in my mind, somehow, I ended up getting distracted! I wonder why!

Oh, well, I guess I'll have to do more research!
