Conducting Research!

Though I know some writers don't really like doing research, I actually kind of enjoy doing it for my books. Sometimes, I get so interested in whatever it is I'm researching, that I have to pull myself away from it so that I can get back to what I'm supposed to be doing! Of course, when you write spanking stories, the research can sometimes even be fun! Not to mention hot!

Like I had a scene in Nosy by Nature, which is currently running over on Bethany's Woodshed, where the heroine, Daphne, gets spanked with a leather strap while she's bent over the back of a straight-backed chair. As I was writing it, I realized that I needed to get into the scene, so I asked my hubby if he would help me out. Of course, he was happy to oblige, and I found myself bent over the back of one of our kitchen chairs while he reddened my bottom with the leather spanking strop we have from the London Tanners!

While I really did try to concentrate on the subtle nuances of the spanking, like how the supple leather strap felt as it kissed my bottom and the thoughts that it provoked in my mind, somehow, I ended up getting distracted! I wonder why!

Oh, well, I guess I'll have to do more research!

*hugs*

I'm writing the wrong kind of books LOL. I'm currently corresponding with someone about windsports. It doesn't seem half as interesting as your research Paige.
